SUMMARY:Love Opportunity: Lion's Park Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:Our mission as a church is to Invite people to follow Jesus by loving God\, loving people\, and serving others.\nWell\, we have an opportunity to live out that mission this Saturday\, November 14. The community park in Surrey Hills\, The Lions Club Park\, received extensive tree damage during the ice-ageddon storm. Many of the GC Surrey Hills family will be there to help clean up branches and rake the messy areas. We need help! Many hands make for light and short work. Here is what we will be doing/need:\n\n\nRelocation of limbs – Much of the branches are on the ground and have been cut up. Our primary need is to drag the limbs to a predetermined location for disposal.\nRake\, rake\, and rake – After the big debris is relocated\, we need to rake up those areas. WE NEED NUMEROUS RAKES!\nTrashy McTrash – We would like to comb through the park and pick up any trash around the park.\n\n\nWe believe we could knock this task out in a few short hours or less. Just in time to go home\, clean up\, and come back for the Outdoor Worship Experience that starts at 4 pm. ?\nWe will be doing this project in collaboration with the Jesus of Latter-Day Saints in Surrey and The Lion’s Club. Let us come together and show this community what GC Surrey Hills is about! If you have a GC SUrrey Hills Volunteer “You Belong Here” shirt\, please wear it!\n*PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. IF ABLE WE ENCOURAGE THE WEARING OF MASKS.
